Monero will change it is algorithmic program from CN/R to Randomx roughly on Nov. 30 2019.
You need to be prepared till then, so let's set SRBMiner-MULTI to start out mining exclusively when the fork occurs.
Easy with the "start_block_height" constant amount!
We know the fork will occur at block peak 1978433.
Until then, the miner will simply wait, and wait, connect with the pool and wait, reconnect and wait.....and wait
Let's go:
1. Download SRBMiner-MULTI from from http://www.srbminer.com
2. Unzip the file away someplace
3. You must get a pockets handle, or use your out-of-date handle when you've got one.
4. Go to miner booklet and double click on on guided-setup.bat
The interactive configuration creator will begin
5. Let's see the questions and solutions:
- Coin title necessarily to be the title of the coin you power be creating the configuration for. In this instance it is going to be Monero
- Algorithm for Monero is 'randomx'. You must sort this with out the quotes.
- Address and port of mining pool can be Nanopool
- This shouldn't be a nicehash pool, so write 'n'
- Wallet handle is the one you created with the pockets package program, or your out-of-date handle.
- Password may be something
- Do you need to use your CPU for mining? Answer 'y' as a result of we can be exclusively mining with CPU
- How many CPU togs to make use of for mining? Set to 0 (auto)
- Logging may be helpful when you've some points and need to observe them down. Let's set this to no 'n' now
- Do you need to run miner inside the background, with no windowpane ? Answer 'n' as a result of we need to see the miner windowpane
6. Basic configuration is finished, we have to add the "start_block_height" constant amount the swimming pools file.
- Open Poolspool-Monero.txt and copy-paste there "start_block_height" : 1978433
7. Add "retry_time" : 90 to the config file we simply created, so miner will attempt to reconnect to the pool each 90 seconds
Now all you need to do to start out mining is double click on 'start-Monero.bat' and look ahead to the fork to occur at block 1978433.
